Its been an adventure putting the Northern Crossing Tour together, I've made many trips across our state since last summer meeting with city and state officials and checking out our lodging and dinning choices. I also take the opportunity to tweak the route a bit each time. Due to the high demand for hotel rooms we have changed day three's destination to Bradford. There are more hotel rooms and dinning choices in Bradford so this is good and now everybody that requested a single room gets a single room. You may have also noticed that the last three days are now Williamsport, Bloomsburg and Wilkes Barre. In Erie a Blues and Jazz Festival will be happening along the waterfront. A lunch stop at a winery and a dinner on the waterfront in Bemus Point highlights day two.Visit the Zippo factory or tour the Oil Museum in Bradford. The Lumber Museum outside of Coudersport is worth a visit or just relax in the quiet downtown. View the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania from Leonard Harrison State Park on your way into Wellsboro. Williamsport is home to the Little League World Series. Do you enjoy hot rods and custom cars, well your in luck if you do, they will be everywhere in and around Bloomsburg. The small but lively city of Wilkes Barre is a great choice to stage this tour, it has highway access from near or far with many lodging and dining choices. They are looking forward to our visit. Check out the updates and added links to the day by day page of the Northern Crossing. It will show and tell you a little about our stopover cities and towns. If you register by March 7th you will save $50.00 off of the total tour cost. So if a bicycle tour offering 60 to 70 mile days on relative flat terrain appeals to you, check out the Northern Crossing Tour.
The Source of the Delaware tour in September a four day 250 mile jaunt down the river is also starting to fill. So if longer mileage days are for you then maybe we will see you in the fall.
