On Saturday we meet for breakfast at the historic Yardley Inn. Then we cycle up the PA side of the Delaware River from Yardley, Bucks County to Easton, home of Lafayette College and a fun destination with lots to do. We stay at a Best Western, with an indoor heated pool. You will be riding on a mix of flat single track and well- maintained Canal Towpath. Cyclists may depart our river route to explore some scenic –and not quite so flat – inland options and everyone will be encouraged to make the optional visit to scenic Carversville on Fleecydale Road, one of the prettiest county lanes in Bucks County. Cyclists may get on and off the Towpath at many locations.

On Sunday, cyclists cross the River to Philipsburg and ride some narrow back roads to Milford and Frenchtown where a well maintained 21 mile Canal path begins following the River and the Delaware & Raritan Canal from Frenchtown to Washington Crossing, where we will cross the river, and return to Yardley. Cyclists may depart the Towpath at many locations to explore some scenic – and not quite so flat – inland options. Ambitious cyclists may also take on the challenges of a worthy climb in Hunterdon County, NJ, to see a real life 5-story high Dutch Windmill. The 105 mile round-trip is mostly flat. A nice ride on a spring weekend.
